Thanks, Leo! *smile* It's nice to see that someone is well-versed on these subjects. I'm sure some of that information is on the card itself..but that set was packed away long ago.

My WEG days were alot of fun, Leo...and I consider myself fortunate to have gotten the chance to add to the Star Wars canon. But the part the brings me the most satisfaction is the thought that my work mattered to the dedicated game-players.

(BTW, how much for the original card? :) I don't think I can afford it, but I'm just curious...)

It's a watercolor piece. About 6 by 4 inches. Think about half of the originals have been sold over the years...but still have her. It has a decade-old pencil marked price on it of $100.

It's a great price, but not something I can really afford, unfortunately.

Awesome! Thius particular image is slightly different than the one that got published in the Darkstryder game. I added the facial tattoos as (unfortunately) an afterthought.

Yeah; she didn't have the tattoos in the Darkstryder card; but there were references in Wookieepedia to her species having them sometimes... so what I came up with with the GM's nod was that they got the tats to mark a great achievement... so my character got one on her forehead after (I don't recall exactly) becoming squadrom leader, or after blowing up a huge-ass imperial ship.

And this was used in the Darkstryder campaign set? I too liked that you'd use more aliens than we saw/see in the movies.

Yes...I remember the Darkstryder assignment because I got to use color. Twas fun! I have a group of the cards in the Gallery...but "FlyGirl" is one of the few originals I still have. You may notice that I added facial tattoos AFTER publication. Things moved along pretty quickly under the pressure of deadline, so that kinda detail was an after-thought.

oh - it reminded me of the comic book series "Yoko Tsuno"

Hmmm...I'm unfamiliar with that series. "FlyGirl" was done for a Star Wars RPG card series, and was originally printed without the facial tattooing.

In the comic story Yoko Tsuno and her friends meet aliens that look like humans only they have light blue skin - go google and youll see :D

Aaah! Blue-skinned aliens with white hair. Coool! The comic has a great retro-scifi styling, which I think is fantastic!

Yeah, that's awesome. I love to see the Rebels representin', especially when artists show alien or female characters since there weren't many in the movies. And she's pretty!

Thanks again, Nemonus. "FlyGirl" was part of a set of Star Wars cards I did for a West End Games assignment. Some of the other cards are in my Gallery. They were fun to do. Enjoyed my West End days!
